Analog Control Variable Gain Amplifiers (VGAs)
Analog Devices voltage controlled variable gain amplifiers (VGAs) provide continuous gain control over a wide dynamic range for a variety of audio and optical frequency bands. Our VGAs improve the dynamic range of a circuit by allowing users to adjust a signal’s amplitude in real time, which is invaluable for ultrasound, speech analysis, radar, wireless communications, and instrumentation-related applications, all of which commonly use analog control VGAs.
In addition to analog control VGAs, we also offer a portfolio of digital controlled VGAs to provide you with discrete levels of gain control over a fixed number of control bits. Digital Control VGAs
Analog Devices digital controlled variable gain amplifiers provide discrete levels of gain control over a fixed number of control bits for a variety of audio and optical frequency bands. Our VGAs improve the dynamic range of a circuit by allowing users to adjust the amplitude of a signal in real time, which is critical for a number of applications involving ultrasound, speech analysis, radar, wireless communications, and instrumentation. We also offer a portfolio of voltage controlled VGAs to provide you with continuous gain control over a wide dynamic range.
Baseband Programmable VGA-Filters
Analog Devices’ RF VGAs, IF VGAs, and variable gain control products offer the high performance needed for communications, instrumentation, and military designs. The portfolio includes continuous analog linear in dB products based on X-AMP® interpolation architectures and digital step controlled products providing as fine as 0.25 dB step and linear in volts digital control. Furthermore, ADI RF VGAs are highly integrated with digitally controlled multipole analog filters integrated on-chip as well as AGC circuits for automatic level control.
Programmable Gain Amplifiers
Analog Devices programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs) provide excellent gain accuracy, channel-to-channel matching specifications, and low 1 ppm/°C drift. Set your gain with a simple serial or parallel interface from 1 V/V to over 4000 V/V.
